and all those other morons keep talking about "initiatives" and "strong efforts" and "studies by panels on the committee's comments". i don't care who understands "the need for resolution", i want a candidate who understands the issue and is willing to take action. or at least one who is willing to admit when they screwed up.
if fred thompson conceives of himself as a legitimate presidential candidate, and all he's done is go to law school, serve his state, and make movies and tv shows, then how is colbert, who changed the pronunciation of his last name, not the quintessential american and quintessential american presidential candidate.
